African Child Academy Program

In the world of technology, digital literacy is crucial to every one. This simplify information exchange amonge the people. UDESO in collaboration with African Child Projects are implementing African Child Academy Project and provide mentorship on Digital transformation and development of digital skills to the rural community through African Child Academy Program (ACA), under the African Child Projects (ACP) in Katavi region.

African Child Academy is a project organized by African Child Projects in partnership with Cisco Networking Academy and Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF).  

Program's Objectives

The aim of this initiative is to provide digital skills in Tanzania. The program targets to equip 5,000 Tanzanians with digital skills by 2024. By offering digital education that aligns with global technological advancements, the project also focuses on imparting employability skills for youth, children, women, and marginalized groups. African Child Academy’s include providing digital training alongside employability skills, Reducing the digital divide in communities and promoting economic and social development for all.

Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries of the African Child Academy project include but not limited youth who are out of school programs and civil servants working within the districts located in Katavi Region who, under the supervision of UDESO will join the training program under the “project” for the period that will be specified.
