Usevya Development Society (UDESO) is a grassroot, non-governmental and non-profit organization established and registered under NGO Act of 2002.

UDESO works towards achieving inclusive and sustainable Community Development in rural communities. In achieving inclusive and sustainable Community Development in rural areas, UDESO works collaboratively and in partnership with the government through its institutions, Local Government Authorities (LGAs), other CSOs, development stakeholders and Community as well, to promote improved livelihoods of the Communities through exploration of existing resources and opportunities within the community

Our specific objectives

In working towards achieving Community Development UDESO has set six strategic objectives, they include;

  1. To promote human rights and gender equality to the community to address various violations such like Violations against Women and Children (VAWC), Gender based Violence (GBV) while paying special attention to the disadvantaged groups, such as women, children, youth and elders through accessible, affordable, readily available.
  2. To Promoting climate action and making community resilient to hazardous of climate change such that establishing the climate – resilient water governance and environment management.
  1. To promote community health and hygiene on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and sanitation management.
  2. To promote self-reliance spirit among youth, women, small scale farmers and disable on sustainable income generation, vocational and environmental management skills.
  3. Promoting good governance through improving accountability, transparency of CBO’s, local government and other development actors in rural communities.
  4. Promoting economic growth in rural communities through income generating activities.
